In the syslog of the installation done using virtio drives, the relevant
message is:
  Fatal: Linux experimental device 0x04x needs to be defined.

So support for virtio drives needs to be added in LILO and
lilo-installer should just work.  I am therefore reassigning this bug to
lilo.

If this is not fixed for Lenny, this should be documented as an
installer erratum.
