Date: Mo Apr 7 15:11:27 CEST 2008

Machine: VMware with IDE(0,0)-harddisk
Processor:
Memory: 256m
Partitions: empty

Output of lspci -nn and lspci -vnn:
see install-log

Comments/Problems:

The IDE hard disk is not detected. The installer then wants to create partitions on the floppy.

This failure happens on a virtual machine and on real hardware also.

Newer versions of kernel and initrd don't work with debian-40r3-i386-DVD-1.iso (module version mismatch).

What can i do?

Markus
