Subject: ppp-udeb: installations via PPPoE are possible (but still
with some problems which I don't know why they appear)
To: Debian Boot <debian-boot@lists.debian.org>

Hello all,

My changes on the ppp-udeb package made in order for D-I to be able to
detect, configure and use PPPoE connection since the install time are
almost ready (yes, still not ready, due to a couple of bizare issues)

The problems I have, and should _not_ happen now (from my POV):
1 - after boot the first attempt to automaticaly detect concentrators
always times out (even with the atteched ppp-udeb.postint_double it
does it - copied blindly the idea from pppoeconf)

2 - the default router address is never set to the peer's address,
instead is always 0.0.0.0

Any help would be appreciated.

Please comment.

Notes:

The code might look too heavy/ugly in some places, but I wanted
something that at least works and usually written up something
according to the first idea that came into my mind;

Also, since at the question of knowing a function a la log-output, but
which sould act on all non-debconf questions, I had to add in multiple
redirections to /dev/null because of the many commands which produced
output on stdout in case of errors.
