yes, it does, but cairo is a generic 2D drawing library and fonts inside a GTK app need to be set in the gtkrc file. Anyway, don't worry: i think we're going to have a GTK_FONT_DEFAULT_SIZE global variable that can be adjusted accordingly to the current screen size and specific needs of some languages at boottime/runtime.
