I mean the filesystem type of the rootdisk image, before its moved to
tmpfs.

Obviously when booting from cd the filesystem isnt writtable, so for
consistency it should be safe to assume the same for all boot media.

romfs->tmpfs makes more sense to me than ext2->tmpfs
