re: sarge-i386-1.iso bootable image...NOT INSTALLING

Martin,

The exact location of the image is at the master site:
ftp://ftp.hu.debian.org/.3/debian-unofficial-cd/sarge/
the file name is: sarge-i386-1.iso

Hope this helps, I'm trying to work out an install
from debian 3.0r1 which does have PCMCIA support for
my Toshiba Laptop P233 64MB ram with a xircom ethernet
pcmcia card that works after first reboot, but after
the second reboot, it crashes the system.

Karoly Szalai (cc-ed) was trying to help me by
suggesting that I update my pcmcia-cs package because
2.2.16 is outdated/bugged. However, sarge doesn't
look better (yet ;-)

What does look good and work is Knoppix distribution
of Debian linux, but this has its qwerks too, such as
2.2GB install on hardrive or only cdrom...not much
flexibility.

Hope this helps answer a few of your questions,
