Bug#167240: BF2.4 installer kernel should NOT use VGA16 FB by default.

And the display on the thinkpad 560x?  And some other laptop uses?

During the install?  Hmm, so you need the framebuffer to do multibyte
languages?  If so, then I accept the purpose.  Having never needed
multibyte support I didn't even know that the console could support
that.

Could the boot menu pages at least tell people about the option to
disable the framebuffer if they get a blank screen?
