2.2.11 boot floppies

I've hacked together some boot floppies for kernel 2.2.11 and stable. This
is working toward the big update to stable that's been talked about. Of
course that won't really use kernel 2.2.11 because it's buggy, but that was
the easiest kernel to work with.

The only real problem of course, is that 2.2.x is so darned big. I had to do
some serious whittling down. I think I included all the SCSI drivers the
current stable boot floppies handle, but I wasn't able to add some of the
new ones 2.2 kernels support. I had to kill MCA support. It all needs more
looking over to make sure I didn't remove any other important drivers. I've
attached at the end of this message my .config file so people can check that.

Aside from that, I didn't have to make any real changes, just minor
Makefile tweaks. I've tested the disks and they seem to work on at least one
machine. You can get it all at http://www.debian.org/~joeyh/boot-floppies/

Looking toward the future and not just quick hacks like this, I think we
need to make a kernel package that is installed via dpkg after the base
system is booted and has extra modules in it. Things like modular sound, etc,
that just won't fit on the drivers floppy. And of course, initrd is direly
needed, but everyone already knew that.

I see that the cvs boot-floppies package has at least the beginnings of
kernel 2.2 support, according to the changelog. Is that near to being
usable, and does it handle it better than how I did it?
