   I hacked a rescue floppy with 2.2.3-ac3 (with quite a lot of special
   patches) without any major problems...

But did it have all the SCSI drivers we need on it?  If so, could you
send me the .config?  I had to remove lots of things that I rather
wouldn't have for my rescue disk.
