Hi, another option is "replicator" which clones a master node to the slave nodes using rsync. I had good luck with this and since you only need to get the packages once (for the master node) the slave install *fast*. Not to slight FAI, this is just another way to do it. replicator creates it's own nfsroot for the slaves to boot from, but you do need to build your own nfsroot capable boot kernel (which can be a pain if you're not familiar with the process).
