That's what I thought: can't find the "unofficial" firmware with
ixp400 drivers for the ethernet - the link from cyrius.com goes nowhere.
I _have_ the ixp400 drivers from Intel and had to go away and get them
:(

I've got a system running Debian with ext3 as first partition and
everything:) How do I flash the firmware including ixp400 ethernet to 
the slug flash?

Yes: I know nothing about RiscOS so I've hardly even been able to get 
to boot d-i :)
