All Opteron boards I have heard of come with on-board graphics, so the
lack of AGP is not a problem, unless you want to do 3D gaming ;-).
What has kept me from buying one (besides price and availability), is the
fact that the PCI slots are mostly 3.3V only (the K8D master has
2 5V slots), and I have only 5V cards.

There is a single IDE controller, so you can connect up to 4 drives (or two
if you want speed). Hardware IDE RAID is pointless on Linux-only machines,
since software RAID works better.
