Ok, I'm afraid this is a framebuffer problem; the framebuffer driver is only
associated with vt1, not with any of the other vts, and since the only way
TGA is supported is via the framebuffer, this means you don't get the use of
the other vts in the installer.  Sorry, I don't see any easy fix for that.
