serial problems
Hi, I installed a potato on a Quadra 630 some time ago, and since then
I cannot do anything with the serial ports: wvdialconf is unable to
detect the modem on either ports. Actually, the system doesn't seem to
figure out what the uart is. The command
#setserial -G /dev/ttyS0
gives
/dev/ttyS0 uart is undefined port 0x50f0c022 irq 4 baud_base 0
man setserial gives a list of available uarts, but not the one in this
machine (8530).
# setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart 8530 or
# setserial /dev/ttyS0 autodetect are both unsucessful.
According to the hardware status page on mac68k-linux.org, this chip is
supported (green). So I must have missed something.
Any clue?
