Kernel 2.2.10 (m68k) and xserver-fbdev

I updated from slink to potato and got some problems with the xserver-fbdev.

After the update -- still with my custom Kernel 2.0.36 -- the colors of the
X-window system where somewhat unusual like dark blue text on black background.
I had to downgrade to the xserver-fbdev Version 3.3.2.3 from the slink
distribution to solve that. Everything worked fine.

Next step was compiling a new kernel from the kernel-sources version 2.2.10.
I applied the patches for this package, made the configuration, depend and
the building. With the new Kernel booting was ok, programms running on console
worked, but X failed. The following output was created by

X >x.out 2>&1

When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages

The problem is not related to the version of the xserver-fbdev, the new
version from the potato package produces the same results.

My computer is an Atari ST with 50MHz 68030, 40 MB RAM and an external ISA-bus
video card (ET4000). I would appreciate getting some tips to get the new kernel
running.

Regards,

Ulrich
