More on Mac serial ports and Debian

Ok, here's the appropriate lines from dmesg...

M68K Serial driver version 1.01
Mac68K Z8530 serial driver version 1.01
ttyS0 at 0x50f0c022: 8350 ESCC w/o DMA
ttyS1 at 0x50f0c020: 8350 ESCC w/o DMA

and...I've run the /etc/rc.boot/0setserial script from the console
and it does nothing...no errors, no message, just returns the prompt.

There is no message during boot either regarding initializing the
serial ports.

This is on a Quadra 650, 64MB Ram, and kernel 2.1.120 #14.
