jade/68k: will it format docbook?

Can someone tell me whether jade/68k is able to format docbook?
I am the maintianer of jade (which includes sp, sp-dev, and jade).
I am not on this list so please CC to me personally.

I *happened* to notice a porter had uploaded jade/sp compiled with
egcs rather than g++272. I understand that you guys really need to do
this, since g++272 doesn't even exist for 68k, AFAIK.

However, my experiece on x86 building jade with egcs showed that it
was pretty much close to useless (although sp and sp-dev seemed ok).
I.e., when fed even the smallest docbook file for formatting (using
the docbook-stylesheets package), it would dump core.

I'd like to know if this is the case for jade in m68k/hamm. If so, I
think perhaps we need to leave sp and sp-dev in hamm but remove jade
from hamm (and of course they can all go into slink). OTOH, if
jade/68k is fine, perhaps something was fixed recently in libstd++ or
eg++.

BTW, I've notified the upstream maintainer that jade et al do not cope
well with egcs; no response yet from him (James Clark). I think he's
an NT user (!!).

Again, I am not on this list so please CC to me personally.
