Are you saying that you tried to install a Slackware X-Windows and a
RedHat X-Windows package on a Debian system?

It _is_ possible to do this of course but why would you want to? There
are ways to install 'alien' packages but Debian already has X-Windows as
a package.  Installing an 'alien' package should be just about a 'last
resort' action.
