Although I have been saying BBB there is some query if 100mBit Ethernet is enough....
It may not be for RAW video, but if there is some encoding this may be enough.... I am revisiting this question at the moment.

On the same box (because I am doing other things)
voctocore
ingest.py ... gst-launch-1.0 ... tcpclientsink host=127.0.0.1 port=10000

So now there is a 720p stream from source to core

 sudo iftop -i lo -f port 10000

TX:             cum:   51.6GB   peak:    328Mb  rates:    319Mb   322Mb   319Mb

The stream can be compressed, but that is going to require changes to ingest.py and add a bridge process that runs near voctocore to decompress and fwd.    which I bet will add undesirable latency.   It will also add to the complexity of all the process and configs that need to be managed.   so -1.
