It won't be powerful enough for both mixing and encoding. Use a laptop
for either encoding or switching, but it will not be able to reliably
handle both. I have tried this, and shifting the encoding off to another
machine makes it useable and a lot more reliable

no, no audio input. Hermanrs camera is the only one with a line in.

Cool, which one are you going for in the end?

I will also bring a couple condenser mics (and stands perhaps).
