Yup.

Andreas had told me he wanted an addition to our system to let the
attendees organize the rooms by themselves - we would have the room
total, and people would somehow arrange themselves in the rooms. I am
not sure, however, that'd work best - I think it would lead to chaos.

I am more leaning to let chaos do its work and then just flip some
bits - i.e., do an initial auto-allocation of rooms (perhaps
separating women from men, at most), and then go through the
'comments' field of the DB - As of yesterday, out of 219 registered
people, 60 or so had something in that field, and about half of them
were regarding the rooms, mainly asking to be BF-GF related. That
could be hand-fixed.

And even if our had-fixing is not perfect, people will be free to
trade their sleeping spot with others in the course of the
conference. Of course, we should try to avoid explicitly putting
together people prone to have problems (which we have seen on
lists)... But other than that, I'd trust good ol' Mr. Chaos to do it
right.

Now, I would feel it quite aggressive to put a couple and someone else
in a room for three people - The third guy would feel _really_
unconfortable. I'd rather have a couple and four singles share a room
for six. Couples will stay together (maybe we could even make rooms
with 3 couples or something like that), but Debconf is not about
having privacy with your girl.

Greetings,
