Sorry about the delay getting back to you folks. Further inspection
reveals ...
1. media claims to be DVR-R. Attempts to blank it as suggested
weren't successfull (unfortunately the log has scrolled back too far).
2. firmware is not up to date
3. I also have issues recording CD's with this drive
At least I've got something to go on now - thanks.
I'll try and fix #2 and #3, plus verify that the drive work on 'that
other operating system' before posting further. Thanks for your help
so far.
