There is absolutely no doubt that SuSE is violating GPL.

Is very explicit and unabigouous.

As I receive many mails that state cdrecord is defective (which is not true
for the original cdrecrod but for the patched by SuSE cdrecord) there is no way 
to deny the GPL violation from SuSE.

Instead of writing mails like the above one, it would help more if you would 
come up with suggestions how to force SuSE to follow the GPL again.
