I had a third point that I forgot to include.

* Burnout: despite being a volunteer position, we have these
completely mad expectations of the DPL.  Just look at the current DPL
platforms.  Jonathan wrote something which I find pretty sensible: "I
plan to not spend weekends working on DPL matters unless there is
something really urgent". (Jonathan made it pretty clear that he'd
devote enough time to being DPL overall.)   What response did he get
to that?

Joerg's rebuttal: "I find it problematic to already announce times
where he won't work as DPL."

Really?  Taking off weekends unless there's something urgent is
"problematic"?  For a volunteer, unpaid position?

No wonder DPLs burn out.
