Question about Configuration

Anyone:

During the .setup.sh script a question is asked:

**** The VSX source directory is rooted at /home/tet/test_sets/SRC

** List of Available Parameter Files **

Linux

Which of the above parameter files do you wish to use
in this installation procedure [none]?

What is this used for?

Why I ask is if you answer Linux for the usergroups testsuite only about 50
%
are successful.  If you take none then it is up somewhere in 95 % or
better,
but why?

What happens is that you can't add any new users or groups so those all
error or
become Unresolved.  But, I like to know why and is it wrong to say Linux?
