Bug#230687: [apt-rpm] How can I install package1 which requires an older version of package2?

Hi Matt,

Indeed Jason responded quickly, but after that all went quiet.  Let's forget 
it, it's seems a thing from the past now :)

That's a good idea indeed.

It is xmlto.  
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/text/xmlto.html

You need a current version (1.64.1) of docbook-xsl to have the manpages 
formatted correctly;

http://packages.debian.org/unstable/text/docbook-xsl

That seems okay, they are all present in the apt repository :)

Okay found them.  I'll download them for there.  However, before I continue 
with merging/processing or whatever, I'm curious to know whether you can 
distribute (apt/deity) with the converted docs (to xml docbook-4) in 
combination with xmlto (or whatever xml processor you would like to use of 
course).
