Can't translators at least coordinate among themselves? Obviously the
maintainer is practically never able to judge the correctness or quality of
translations for every language, and has to trust in a consensus from others.
If this project is important to you, I would suggest:
1. Subscribe to the PTS for dpkg and apt (or debian-dpkg@lists and
deity@lists), so that you receive bug traffic. This change was discussed a
week ago.
2. Read the BTS (this bug was in the BTS since _June_ and I had marked it
[i18n] to make it easy for translators to find).
