The real issue is that I shouldn't be writing any mails in the morning
right after wake-up.

As for why it worked fine with -1 and does no longer with -2, I guess
that's fairly simple:
 1. A rebuild against 1.7 server happened.
 2. KMS got enabled by default on Linux.
