You said that it worked once you commented out "Enable" at the end of
the "Option Composite" line. I guess it does not work anymore if you
uncomment it? Could you see whether there's an evil character hidden
somewhere there? Does it help if you comment out the whole line and
re-enter it entirely by hand right below?
