xserver-xorg does not matter here. This package basically contains
nothing. The actual server code is in xserver-xorg-core, which you
didn't upgrade to 1.3 (currently in unstable) from what I see in your
log below.

Since the original submitter of this bug does not see the problem
anymore with xserver-xorg-core from ubuntu feisty (1.2.99.something),
the bug might be related to xserver-xorg-core only and fixed in 1.3.

Is there a chance you upgrade to xserver-xorg-core 1.3 currently in
unstable very soon?
