OK, I add this to ~/.Xresources :

   *font: -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--15-*-75-75-c-*-iso10646-1

Then, I open a new uxterm, and do this:

   man spamassassin

That is my test manpage, one that consistently misbehaved in the past.
Now, it still does *not* show leading dashes/hyphens.

How can I tell how a given uxterm window is configured? Which font is
it using?

What am I missing?

Dare to fix things before they break . . .

Our capacity for understanding is inversely proportional to how much
we think we know. The more I know, the more I know I don't know . . .
