Maybe not, but there's always many factors to consider; the apps could
only leak with code using functionality only available in 4.3, the leaks
could be in the new X libraries, if you have changed them, ...

Install it somewhere in /usr/local (or anywhere out of the way of the
package management system, for that matter) and point the server's
ModulePath there. You could also try my xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk
packages though, which are only minimally patched.
