I do have a patch in ds4 (unreleased right now, give me a couple of days
to get it synced on all the architectures) to take care of an Xlib
double-malloc, maybe that's the issue?

As for DRI, when you're using XFree86 4.3, you need either a 2.5.x
kernel, or to build the xlibmesa4-drm-src package.
