I don't want to render my laptop too hopelessly unstable, as it's my
main unstable build machine, but if I can just unpack (or build) a few
bits of XFree86 pre-4.3 and run them by hand then I'd be happy to try
that. Could you give an X dummy a brief run-down of what I need to do?
