It may be that only XF4 supports this version of the i810 chipset... ----- Forwarded message from Kirk Ismay <captain@netidea.com> ----- From: Kirk Ismay <captain@netidea.com> To: branden@debian.org Subject: Intel i815 & Debian 2.2 Date: Wed, 22 Nov 2000 13:32:55 -0800 Delivered-To: branden@localhost.deadbeast.net Delivered-To: branden@deadbeast.net Message-ID: <3A1C3B87.FEA307ED@netidea.com> X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.72 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16 i686) X-Accept-Language: en Hi, I have a motherboard with onboard video, provided by the intel i815 chipset. Its an ASUS CUSL2. I'm trying to setup XFree 3.3.6, on Debian 2.2, with no luck. Can you point me to any useful documentation on this problem? I've even tried building xfree from scratch with a patch from Intel, but even that doesn't work. The worst part is that my coworker has the same system, and is gloating over the fact that his works fine with RedHat 7.0! (out of the box). Thank you for your time. -- Sincerely, Kirk Ismay ________________________________________________________________________ The Net Idea Telecommunications Inc Support: tech@netidea.com 101-625 Front Street, Sales: sales@netidea.com Nelson BC, V1L 4B6 Phone: 352-3512 Fax: 352-9780 Open Monday to Friday 9:30-5:30 Toll Free: 1-888-246-4222 10:00 - 4:00 on Saturdays ________________________________________________________________________ ----- End forwarded message ----- -- G.
