'apt install avahi-daemon' is sufficient. libnnss-mdns is a recommended
package of avahi-daemon. Machines with cups installed will already have
both packages. Documentation is at
https://www.avahi.org/
https://github.com/lathiat/nss-mdns
and in /usr/share/doc.
