This is not an answer to your question, but, rather, something that
arises, because of your question.
You have posted to this list, a number of different queries, relating to
the MATE interface.
This also happens on the Ubuntu users list.
A"flavour" of Ubuntu, exists, named UbuntuMATE (or, however a person
wants to write the name), in addition to the other flavours;Lubuntu,
Xubuntu,Kubuntu, etc.
With Debian, different flavours, also exist, from memory.
But, with MATE, whilst a Debian-mate mailing lists exists, to which
reference was made, in response to a previous thread involving a query
about MATE running on Debian, the Debian-mate list appears to have posts
relating to only bug reports, and, announcements or security announcements.
I think that MATE also runs as a desktop environment, on dragonflyBSD
(if not the other BSD distributions, also).
But, whilst (independently operated and administered) users mailing
lists exist, for Thunderbird (two separate users lists), Firefox, and
Seamonkey, no users list appears to exist for either UbuntuMATE, or,
MATE running on Debian, or, for the MATE desktop environment (if that is
the correct term), across the different platforms.
The question then arises - would it be worthwhile, to start a users
mailing list, for MATE desktop interface (and applications that are part
of the MATE environment), to deal with MATE users across different
platforms?
