For the curious: you can run "systemctl disable exim4" as well.
This will just run the above command though via
/lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install

It's a thin wrapper to make systemctl more convenient to use and you don't need to remember whether a service has a native .service unit file or still ships only a legacy SysV init script.
