Try free. E.g.:

root@jhegaala:~# free
              total        used        free      shared  buff/cache   available
Mem:           7860        5095         780         597        1985        1958
Swap:         15623        2426       13197
Total:        23484        7521       13977
root@jhegaala:~# 

If swap is not enabled, the Swap line won't be there.

Or try htop.
