Re: Cannot open Trash?

I forgot to mention that I've made spacefm the default file manager of my system.

Double-clicking the trash icon in the desktop screen and then choosing a file manager to open it results in /home/user being shown, not the trash directory, regardless if I choose thunar or spacefm.

Please also see the following output:
kaye@laptop:~$ sudo dpkg -l "gvfs*"
[sudo] password for kaye:

But if I purge gvfs itself, Trash vanishes from Thunar and cannot be
accessed by manually entering the location "trash:///".

If you are missing the gvfs package, you can install it with:

apt-get install gvfs

or via the package manager of your choice.

Kind regards,
