There should be a way to view the queue from the Cups web interface (which I assume you used to delete the printer), but I don't know the exact path.
From the command-line lpq to view the queue, lprm to remove jobs. They might be in another package (perhaps lpd compatibility).
But often the job does not appear anymore in the queue anymore because the computer has finished sending it to the printer. In this case you have to cancel in the printer, if it provides an option for that.
