Well then, until it does, use "btrfs filesystem resize" instead. The important thing is that you do not have to unmount the filesystem.
2) Why does anyone would want to create btrfs inside the Logical Volume?
For the same reasons as any other type of contents.Why not ? Some features of LVM and btrfs may appear redundant, but they do not operate at the same layer.
