I second this. Under your google settings, there is a way to generate App passwords under the "Sign-in & Security" section. Use the app password instead of your normal password, and it will bypass your 2FA.

One can get Google/gmail to generated a single-app 16-character password. Cut
and paste that into kmail. Then it will work.
