It gives the partitioning description, UUID, and label of the USB flash drive that was plugged in. It is FAT formatted and used to exchange information with my Windows machine.

It was what prompted me to ask ;/
describes some of the commands, but not all. The shell can display the command list with "help" and information about a specific command with "help <command>".
