Yes, I found it helpful.  I agree that the fact that I use TDE could well have 
been relevant, as is the fact that the whole thing is generically FOSS.  I 
almost included some TDE details from the beginning, but started with the 
obviously Debian ones, and was then going to change list if it looked as 
though TDE was relevant.

We get a lot on the list that is only relevant to GNOME.
