Er, your paragraph quoted above referred only to README.Debians (which
you called "Debian.readme"s), not to READMEs in general. So your use of
the pronoun "they" is misleading. By mixing them up here (well, it's
either mixing them up, or it's being deliberately misleading), you
give some justification to my comment on possible confusion between
READMEs and README.Debians. Sorry if this caused distress.
In my posting, I omitted to process the README.Debian.gz files, so I
added ".gz" and "z" at the appropriate places and checked those, with
the same result: a lack of "talk about about how to compile the program."
But I'll refrain from trying to guess why you would think differently.
Instead, I'll just ask, which ones?
BTW I've removed the quotation line that mentioned Lisi, and which
Brian accidentally included in his posting.
