I can imagine they save a lot of money on all kind of things, just to make
it cheep, but sellable and thus achieve better share options.

Just don't buy the stuff, spent more money for better hardware (and
software) this pays always off.

I spent 100US$ on an Epson dotmatrix in 96 and it is still working great. As
student I was earning about 200/month back then.
I spent 100 on a HP LaserJet in 2000 and it is still working great.

I ask myself why people would buy cheep stuff anyway ... it's like sickness.
