It may just show up when you use Iceweasel or any other modern browser
considering that the browser is probably the the most resource-hungry
and advanced program most users run.
If X locks up, and you can't even switch to a VT I would suspect a
problem with the video driver.
I installed the intel driver. No luck.
I removed gnome and use xfce and it's snappier.
But I lost wireless. And this I need to fix.
I install wicd, plus wifi driver and supplicant; the latter two were not
installed as I was informed they already exist.
But still no wireless.
