Assuming the machine can boot from USB, check the BIOS settings again.

On a running system, please post the outputs of

   fdisk -l debian-7.8.0-i386-netinst.iso

and, after plugging in the pendrive,

   fdisk -l /dev/sdX

You'll get "X" from dmesg.
