Deloptes,

What a ringing endorsement of Debian. Expect the upgrade not to work,
do it on Friday evening (assuming no work to be done on the weekend,
and that's kind of a 20th century assumption), and do a backup first:
Not just any backup, but a bare metal backup complete with dd'ed MBR or
GPT.

But never gripe about the result, even if the packager's have made
obvious missteps! The packagers need no feedback, read the GPL.

Deloptes, I think you have a great future ahead of you as a publicity
manager for Comcast.

By the way, a bare metal backup before a major operation *is* a good
idea, and fairly easy to do with ddrescue if you have a big honking usb
connected disk and a System Rescue CD CD. I'm just saying it's not a
substitute for at least a tiny bit of due diligence by the packagers
and the people determining the direction of Debian.
